Circles of Active Hope Facilitator Training

Circles of Active Hope is a web-based training to support and encourage anyone who would like to more confidently lead others through a transformational journey of Active Hope, drawing on the framework and materials in the book Active Hope and/or the free video-based online course at https://activehope.training

We’ve run this programme four times so far, training 60 facilitators. We’re taking a pause now before setting up new dates. When we have them we’ll post them here. In the meantime, please click on the box below and complete the short survey to let us know if you’re interested.

The intentions of this training are:

●      to deepen each participant's own practice of Active Hope.

●      to enable and encourage the confidence to lead groups through this journey.

●      to inspire with fresh content and perspectives.

●      to provide a supportive network of peers and mentors as you explore how you would like to offer this work.

  • There will be a cap of maximum 16 trainees in each circle as we aim to create a really held and supported environment in which to encourage participants into inhabiting their own facilitator style.

  • This training is for people who are already interested in Active Hope, who have read the book and/or participated in the online course, but who would like some support and encouragement in order to offer these practices to others.

You may already have experience of leading groups, but this is not a requirement.

Participants are encouraged to bring their other passions to this group (eg. Mindfulness, Permaculture, Art, Music etc.). This is a space for cross-pollination and 'up-skilling', a space to discover your own unique way of facilitating Active Hope.

Due to stipulations on the funding that we have received, the training starting in July is currently only available to participants in the following countries:

UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Belgium, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Denmark, Finland, Holland, Norway, Switzerland, Austria, Israel, & Greece.

We are, however, hoping to open the training up globally later this year, so, if you are from a country that is not on this list, do still register your interest, and we will contact you as soon as we have further information.

  • We are very grateful to have received funding from the Emergence Foundation to cover the costs of producing and administering this course. This enables us currently to set the contribution rate solely to cover the costs of facilitating the training.

We are asking for contributions on a sliding scale, depending on what feels possible for you:

Tier One - subsidised rate: £100

Tier Two - covers cost of course facilitation: £200

Tier Three - enables others to participate at subsidised rate: £300

    * each of these amounts is for the whole course of 8 webinars & partnered practices and longterm access to the recordings and the online learning platform.

** No-one will be turned away from participating in this training because of lack of funds - if you would like to participate and feel that the financial aspect would block you from doing so, please get in touch with us.

We have decided to ask for a financial contribution toward this training (where possible) for two reasons:

    i) to make it sustainable for us to continue to offer it.

ii) to encourage a sense of commitment and a level of engagement that will strengthen the overall bond of the group.

  • We don’t have dates yet for our next programme. We’ll post details here when we have. In the meantime, please let us know if you’re interested by clicking the box below to register your interest and completing the short survey.

  • We have a team of facilitators who have been guiding these courses. When we have details of our next courses we’ll post information about the facilitators for these.

How can I join this Training?

Please click on the ‘register your interest’ button below and complete the short survey this takes you to.

We will be in touch with you regarding next steps.

Looking forward to journeying together deeper into our understanding and practice of Active Hope!

The Circles of Active Hope Facilitator Training is great step towards training as a facilitator in the Work That Reconnects - though it is not a full training in this, as it is more linked to guiding groups that draw on the book Active Hope or the video-based online course in Active Hope. For more information about training to facilitate the Work that Reconnects, please see this link: https://workthatreconnects.org/facilitators/how-to-become-a-facilitator/

We’re grateful for a grant from The Emergence Foundation that has helped fund our first courses in this training.
